Will Rogers! We're going through a bit of a wild time in American nowaways, so I thought I'd take us back to the most famous comedian from 100 years. Will Rogers meant so much to this country, especially during The Great Depression, and damn if his wit (and wisdom and gentle soul) doesn't exactly hit the spot for me here in 2020. He's exactly what I needed, and I hope you find some solace in him as well.

“He loved and was loved by the American people. His memory will ever be in benediction with the hosts of his countrymen who felt the spell of that kindly humor which, while seeing facts, could always laugh at fantasy. That is why his message went straight to the hearts of his fellow men."

Just your classic cowboy turned circus performer turned vaudevillian turned film star, journalist, radio host, speaker, comedian, commentator, and public intellectual. That old chestnut.
