David Low, comic artist and innovative educator, uses and discusses humor, its place in teaching and learning, and its potential to change the world. David earned degrees from The University of Arizona and New York University and is seeking his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. Before reentering school as a learner, he taught 10th and 11th grade English Language Arts in Arizona and self-published a collection of single-panel cartoons.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
