There is nothing like best sleeping position. Patient can sleep whichever position he is comfortable , but usually patient should sleep on a firm bed, it should not be too hard or too soft. So it should be a firm bed. If he finds it difficult to sleep in supine position, then he can slightly bend his knee and keep a pillow underneath the knee and sleep or f he prefers to sleep on the side then he ash to keep the knee slightly bend position like you bend the knee and bend the hip and keep the pillow in between and sleep. So prone position or “ulta sleeping” is not advisable for patients with back pain.
