video thumbnail
A big thank you to Nikolay-Emil Shopov for the videography and editing! In his TEDxAUBG speech Kosta Karakashyan explores the complex processes that take place during ballroom dancing and connects them to everyday social interactions. Through his insights into the world of dance we can understand social connections and apply his knowledge in our day-to-day interactions. Kosta Karakashyan is a director, choreographer, and dancer investigating how to nurture empathy and tenderness through dance, film, and education. A two-time Bulgarian National Ballroom Champion, Kosta has performed and choreographed on Dancing With the Stars Vietnam and across four continents. He graduated from Columbia University in New York, where he choreographed for the Columbia Ballet Collaborative. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
