Operation Encore: FBI Confidential Source Links Saudi Government Officials To Two 9/11 Hijackers |
|
In my latest reading of a cache of declassified FBI files from "Operation Encore", an FBI Confidential Human Source (CHS) positively identifies a phone call from Malaysia to the King Fahd Mosque headed by Fahad al-Thumairy, who according to the CHS, was instituted by Musaed al-Jarrah the head of US-Saudi Consular Affairs. The CHS also states that al-Thumairy knew of two men, who were attending an Al Qaeda summit meeting in Malaysia, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, were coming into the United States and made preparations for their arrival.
Also, the CHS states that Walid Bin Attash, also known as Khallad, was also inside Los Angeles visiting the mosque and al-Thumairy at this time. al-Thumairy tasks Omar al-Bayoumi, who worked for the Civil Aviation Administration of Saudi Arabia and Dallah/Avco Trans Arabia Company, which have direct links to the government of Saudi Arabia, to look after both al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi. Both men also were told about the Mediterranean Cafe, where during an interview with the 9/11 Commission in 2002, al-Bayoumi claims where he initially met the two. However, according to the CHS, the restaurant was known to al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi by members of the mosque and, al-Bayoumi!
