In this AP Daily: Live Review session, we will review content from Periods 8 and 9 and develop skills for answering multiple-choice questions and short-answer questions.
We will give particular attention to content related to Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union. We will examine the changes in politics, economics, and social issues over the 40-year Cold War era. We will discuss African American civil rights, the Vietnam War, and the rise of the counterculture movement followed by a period of conservatism under President Ronald Reagan. We will also review the end of the Cold War and major issues heading into the 21st century. The AP historical thinking skill of change and continuity will be emphasized through the detailed breakdown of a document-based question pertaining to Periods 8 and 9.
