- Bocuse d'Or Weekly News #32 The secrets of the trophy's crafting -
Scientists have their Nobel prize, film makers the Oscars and great chefs the Bocuse d'Or. For a cook, it's the ultimate reward, the recognition of an exceptional talent. But who designed this statue and where is it made? It's an hour away from Lyon, in the countryside, that Maurice Adobati, bronze smith, is making the 3 trophies that will be awarded next January: 1 bronze Bocuse, 1 silver Bocuse and 1 gold Bocuse. The trophy that represents the Chef of the Century, was conceived and designed by the artist Christine Delessert. A piece that required a meticulous work in order to represent accurately the charisma and personality of such figure. In fact, the making of these trophies is similar to haute cuisine: precision of gestures, mastering the temperatures, savy mix of ingredients, etc. Lets go to Mr. Adobati's workshop to discover the crafting of this trophy. http://www.bocusedor.com http://twitter.com/Bocusedor http://www.facebook.com/BocusedorOfficial |
