Diverse POV Hike Scenery for Your Workout - Harz National Park - Treadmill, Elliptical, Powerwalk |
|
Fire up your treadmill, elliptical, walking pad or go for a powerwalk workout while exploring the area around Ecker Dam in Harz National Park, in early summer germany, from a first person view perspective. The video covers 7.7km of diverse trails, directly connected, filmed in a single take, for relaxed entertainment and stress relief. Use the chapters to quickly jump to different sections for a shorter workout.
The video starts at a secluded wild animal lookout heading to the near reststop Molkenhaus. From there we move across a large summer meadow and then downwards into Ecker Valley. Through a natural broadleaf forest, following the river Ecker upstream, we reach and cross Ecker Dam. We follow the trail parallel to Ecker Reservoir and then divert towards Rangerstation Scharfenstein. From there it is just a short uphill hike to the top of Scharfenstein Cliffs with a very beautiful final panoramic view, back to the reservoir area and towards the Brocken, which is the highest mountain in the Harz Mountain Range. If your hardware and internet bandwidth allow it, always watch my videos at a resolution of 1440p or 4k. The extra bandwidth YouTube uses for higher resolutions will significantly improve the video quality on lower resolution displays as well. You prefer a run over a brisk walk? Pause the video at the beginning and use the advanced settings of the youtube-videoplayer to change the video speed in 5% increments, with each increment adding another six steps per minute. Normal speed is a brisk walk. 110% speed is great for power walking. 135% and more is a good choice for virtual running. Listening to your own preferred kind of music during workout is recommended, especially if your workout equipment drowns out the videos audio. Cadence Calculation in 5% video speed increments: 1x = 120 steps per minute 1.05x = 126 steps per minute 1.1x = 132 steps per minute 1.15x = 138 steps per minute 1.2x = 144 steps per minute 1.25x = 150 steps per minute 1.3x = 156 steps per minute 1.35x = 162 steps per minute 1.4x = 168 steps per minute 1.45x = 174 steps per minute 1.5x = 180 steps per minute 1.55x = 186 steps per minute 1.6x = 192 steps per minute #HarzNationalPark, #POVScenery, #workout |
