================================= 👩🍳 Get access to 700+ vegan online cooking classes and learn to cook vegan Italian, pastries, Japanese & much more Save 20% with code: "YOUTUBE" ➡️ Sign up at www.veecoco.com ================================= Portions: 2 Macros Kcal/portion: 288 Protein/portion: 22 Fat/portion: 10 Carbs/portion: 31 For the tofu 1 block of tofu (400 g or 14 oz) 1 tbsp salt 4 tbsp corn starch For the sauce 4 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp water 2 tbsp rice vinegar 2 cloves of garlic 1 red chili (optional) Serve with White rice Garnish with Sesame seeds Spring onions, sliced 1. Stary by wrapping the tofu in a kitchen towel, place a heavy object on top, and let it sit for 15 minutes. This will remove the water and moisture and improve the tofu's texture. 2. Cut the tofu into cubes. Mince the garlic and set aside in a small bowl. 3. Roll the tofu in corn starch until each piece is fully coated. 4. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside. 5. Bring a pan to high heat, add 1-2 tbsp of oil (here sunflower oil). Add the tofu, fry for 2-3 minutes before flipping around. Fry for another 3 minutes, flipping occasionally. 6. After around 6 minutes, add the sauce on top, flip the tofu to make sure it's fully covered by the sauce. 7. Fry for another 1 minute before turning off the heat. Make sure it does not burn. 8. Serve with white rice, sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onions on top.
